Petty and Winterland. A match made in heaven. So much so that in later years he would play nine straight shows here. Petty's band has always been top notch, his guitarist Mike Campbell is often overlooked as the real heart of the group. Another crazy general admission show at Winterland, and it WAS crazy. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Kj
